From her alleged claims of mismanagement by the filmmaker of Gadar 2 to surrendering in a cheque bouncing case and commenting that ‘the content on OTT is full of homosexuality’, she has been facing the wrath of the netizens for quite some time now. As she awaits the release of Gadar 2, it is being reported that she might not attend the trailer launch of Sunny Deol starrer.

According to a report by Zoom TV Entertainment, she is planning on skipping the event to avoid ‘embarrassing questions’ the media might ask the cast regarding her co-star Simrat Kaur’s leaked intimate pictures and sleazy video on YouTube. As per the source quoted by the entertainment portal, “But yes she’s surely not going if it happens tomorrow as of now.” For the unversed, the trailer launch event will be held on Wednesday, July 26. It all started when the 47-year-old actress took to her official social media handle to extend her support to Simrat. She had defended her against faceless internet trolls that targeted the young actress. However, Ameesha’s tweet backfires when netizens accused her of trying to gain publicity out of the entire situation. Talking about the upcoming movie, it is sequel to the classic Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001). It followed the journey of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) who falls in love with a Pakistani Muslim girl Sakina (Ameesha Patel). After they get married and have a kid (Utkarsh Sharma), Sakina is forced to go to her country by her father, leaving her family. The father-son duo then go to Pakistan to rescue her. The sequel will focus more on the father-son relationship between Sunny and Utkarsh. Set to release on August 11th, 2023, the movie is directed and produced by Anil Sharma.
